Typically, I don't like time to go by quickly, but right now, I really just want September 4th, 2013 to be here so that I can officially start working towards my Master's Degree.
I am using timeanddate.com to countdown to 9:00 a.m. on September 4, 2013 (Fredericton time). I post little updates with funny or inspiring photos on facebook (add me as a friend if you like) about once a week at this point. I'll post more frequently as September 4 gets closer.
Currently the countdown is as follows:
Of course, by the time you see this, it will be quite different, but you get the point. I'm counting down the days, hours, minutes, seconds, until I go on a huge learning adventure. In case you haven't noticed...I can't wait!
Sometimes people countdown with things that are more fun like haircuts, coffee breaks, full moons. Is there something fun that you have used to countdown to something?
Awesome, wish you all the luck!

Exciting. What are you studying for your Masters? My mum had a countdown on her Google homepage leading up to her retirement. I don't tend to count down to things, as I always seem to forget my plans!! I'm terrible. It's like, "Oh, is that happening tomorrow? Right, yep, I'll be there."

What is your learning adventure? Thanks for the input regarding the collage. I hoped the video might sorta...substitute for the lack of larger pictures. Once upon a time I had software I could make collages with, but each picture was click-able and therefore enlarge. Great software, but it became outdated with newer computers were purchased. I've not seen anything like it sense.

Thanks for coming by, Sandy. I am starting my Master of Arts in English Literature this September. I do agree that videos are always a nice addition.
DeleteAs a former teacher and learning addict I LOVE your countdown!! Best of luck with your Masters - I had some of my best learning experiences (and life experiences) in grad school.
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm counting down the days of this challenge - I hope your days don't pass by too fast and that your wait isn't too long :)
ReplyDeleteCool! I had thought about going to get my Masters, but maybe a little later in my life. I don't have the means to get to the school where I want to go, so I'll wait. Not in much of a rush anyway. Excited for you, though! :D
