Photo-a-Day - 4: after dark

One of the reasons I love Manitoba summers is the fact that is stays light outside until 10:00 p.m. Today's June: Photo-a-Day entry was taken shortly after dusk on my farm.

By the end of June, I'll be moved into the city and no longer have these beautiful country skies to admire. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we're moving (our basement floods, we have yellowy-brownish water, our cold water tap in the shower is temperamental , our kitchen sink is constantly plugging, our lawn mower is broken, and our landlord isn't the best at getting things fixed in a timely manner), but I will miss the peaceful serenity of this place.

In other news, this is a typical scene on our couch after dark:

    1. Sadly (or so I pretend), Farmer Joe did not lock up his chickens and a pack of coyotes got to them before he could get the dogs out of the house to protect his feathered flock. We'll just be moving the dogs and the bunny to town.

  4. predators....suck. But they gotta eat too. We had to renovate our coup last year because for some reason the fox pack really smartened up. We never had major probs like we did last year. Hopefully we will be okay for a while. Sorry Joe! Congrats , Brandy.
